Samta Satyagraha Parishad
The purpose of celebrating 100 years of the Ambedkarite Revolution, beginning with the centenary of the Mahad Satyagraha, is not limited to mere
commemoration. It is a golden opportunity for the heirs of the Ambedkarite Revolution to move beyond just celebrating Ambedkar Birth Anniversary and instead advance the Ambedkarite Revolution toward its ultimate goals. Hence, we are organizing the Samta Satyagraha Parishad on 19th and 20th March 2027.
At the very place in Mahad where the great visionary Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar held the historic conference 100 years ago, we will conduct this Samta Satyagraha Parishad. Here, representatives from every state of India will present the current status of fundamental human rights in their regions, because Babasaheb had said:
"This struggle is not just for water but for fundamental human rights."
Even 75 years after the Constitution came into force, the condition of fundamental human rights in India remains critical. Discrimination based on caste, gender, religion, class, language, and countless other factors still persists. To eliminate this and establish equality, numerous satyagrahas are still needed today. Many such movements have taken place or are ongoing in India and across the world. We will bring them together and display them in Mahad, presenting them before the attendees and through the media, to India and the world.
The centenary of the Ambedkarite Revolution is not just about celebration— it is about taking it forward. We will assess the state of fundamental human rights in India and plan to improve it over the next five years. Carrying the energy of the Mahad Revolution, we will return to our states and districts, launch movements for fundamental human rights, and strive to bring change. This is the path to advancing the Ambedkarite Revolution!
We will walk this path and reconvene after five years in Mahad for the second Samta Satyagraha Parishad on its 105th anniversary. This cycle will continue every five years, with the intervening four years dedicated to ground level work for securing fundamental human rights.
Do not let go of this historic opportunity given to us by history. Join the Samta Satyagraha and march forward together…
