Centenary of the Mahad Satyagraha (1927–2027)
The Mahad Satyagraha of 1927, led by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, stands as a powerful milestone in the struggle for dignity and equality. On 19–20 March 1927 in Mahad (present-day Maharashtra), thousands of Dalits, guided by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, asserted their right to draw water from the Chavdar Tale, boldly challenging caste-based injustice.
As this historic movement completes 100 years in 2027, it continues to inspire the ongoing fight for human rights and social justice.

Phase 1: The Build-Up (2026)
A national planning and mobilization conference will be held on 19–20 March 2026 in Mahad, marking the 99th anniversary. This will be followed by a year-long grassroots campaign across villages, districts, and states to build collective awareness and participation.
Phase 2: The Centenary (2027)
The Samta Satyagraha Conference will be organized in Mahad on 19–20 March 2027, with national and international participation. A key outcome will be the release of a Human Rights Status Report documenting ongoing discrimination related to caste, gender, and religion.
Phase 3: The Continuing Mission (Post-2027)
The centenary will serve as a launchpad for long-term change. A five-year action plan will guide future interventions, with review conferences every five years to sustain the momentum of the Ambedkarite Revolution.

Samta Satyagraha Parishad
The purpose of celebrating 100 years of the Ambedkarite Revolution, beginning with the centenary of the Mahad Satyagraha, is not limited to mere commemoration. It is a golden opportunity for the heirs of the Ambedkarite Revolution to move beyond just celebrating Ambedkar Birth Anniversary and instead advance the Ambedkarite Revolution toward its ultimate goals. Hence, we are organizing the Samta Satyagraha Parishad on 19th and 20th March 2027.

Ambedkarite Leadership Development Program
On March 20, 1927, Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar led the historic Mahad Satyagraha, marking a revolutionary assertion of dignity, equality, and human rights. It was not just a struggle for water—it was the beginning of the Ambedkarite Revolution to annihilate caste and build a new India rooted in liberty, equality, and fraternity.

Securing 100 Water Bodies
In 1927, Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar led the Mahad Satyagraha, asserting Dalits’ right to access public water sources—a powerful act of defiance against caste-based untouchability. Mahad became a historic symbol of water as dignity, and access as a fundamental human right.
Today, a century later, caste discrimination, privatization, environmental degradation, and social exclusion still deny many communities fair access to clean and safe water.
